 UCAAPT prevention of tobacco coalition has three goals:

1.  Prevent the initiation of tobacco use by youth.

2.  Promote cessation by adults and youth.

3.  Eliminate exposure to secondhand smoke.

We determine to promote and protect the health of Union, Cass, Adair, and Adams county citizens.  To raise the

 awarness of "Big Tobacco" in their tactics to lure our youth into a life time of addiction.  And to help others

kick the habit. 

     "Smokefree Iowa" law was

effective July 1, 2008, smoking will no longer be allowed in enclosed public places, i

ncluding places of employment, restaurants, and bars.
